We're on board!

When we finally arrived in Civitavecchia, we had to walk a short distance to the shuttle bus. This was one of the views along the way.

This cruise was a first for us, and I was definitely excited, but had a few worries as well. They mostly involved finding the boat at each port, getting back to the boat before it left, etc. We sailed on the Norwegian Jade, and the whole check-in, etc. process was way easier than I thought it would be. So that was a good first experience to get our feet wet. They also have why they call "Freestyle Cruising," where you choose when and where you eat, if you want to dress up or not, etc. It fit us perfectly. When we got on the boat, I couldn't help but smile at all the different themed rooms and oceanic carpeting. It was going to be fun.

When we walked into our "stateroom" we found...yet again...two twin beds waiting for us. I think we even put up with it for the first night. Luckily we were brave enough to ask if that problem could be solved, and our housekeeping guy fixed it. But, we did have a window! That was a must for Dusty as we were booking the cruise. And did I mention that we got a STEAL of a deal on vacationstogo.com? And they aren't even paying me to say that.

That night at dinner when they took us to our table we felt pretty lucky. We were right at the back near a window. The view was fun and the decorations were the best in the room. And my handsome husband was happy.

Nice...Dusty got the fruit plate for dessert. And then there's me. Chocolate...chocolate something. It was the beginning of an eat fest.

And with that...we were officially cruising!

love that you had a table all to yourselves. Can't even tell you how weird it was some nights when we went to have 6 other people joining you for dinner every night. haha.

I am so glad you are blogging this. I love seeing and reading about your adventures! And I definitely would have gotten the chocolate dessert. Definitely.
